About

John Glozek is an up and coming star in comedy. He is a graduate of Stand Up University – a college for comedy on Long Island taught by Peter Bales, Rich Walker, and Steve Lazarus. Its list of graduates include Chris Monty, Eric Haft, Eric Tartaglione, and Joey Petroni to name a few.

Having been a life-long resident of Long Island, John attended Albany Ave. Elementary School in North Massapequa. At the early age of 10 John started taking drum lessons, which ultimately lead to a 25-year professional music career as a drum instructor and a very proficient drummer in his own band. That band performed throughout the New York tri-state area in the mid -70’s and -80’s. Not completely satisfied with just playing, he eventually began to write and publish drum instructional material—ultimately creating a magazine for drummers titled ‘Drum Tracks’ which was distributed worldwide.

After attending Farmingdale HS and Nassau Community College he continued his passion for music playing in several bands on Long Island and in New York city.

There was also a period in John’s life where he was employed at Grumman Aerospace Corporation. It was there he finally became involved in golf. His dad said, “It was about time.”

As with the magazine Drum Tracks, just playing golf was not enough for John. After researching and looking at the demographics of golf on Long Island, he decided there was a need and market for a regional golf magazine dedicated to Long Island golfers. In October 1989 he published the first issue of a new golf magazine named Long Island Golfer Magazine. After almost two decades, Long Island Golfer Magazine’s name was changed to Golfing Magazine and expanded coast-to-coast in major regional markets throughout the United States.

John is currently the President of the International Network of Golf, one of the golf industries largest associations bringing the golf media and golf industry together. It is through ING and golf that John has developed a keen sense of relationship building.

Closer to home, John was the Commerce Bank Championship’s (a Champions Tour event) Pro-Am Director and Tournament Coordinator.

John is a veteran in the golf publishing business and one of the most versatile relationship builders.

With over 30 years in the publishing business John realizes that it’s all about relationships. Over the years he has learned the ins & outs of promoting, marketing, branding, advertising, sales, and building relationships. He has learned from some of the best in the business — Dom Famularo, Jeffrey Gitomer, Harvey Mackay, Darren LaCroix, Ben Paulino, Brian Tracy, Donald Trump, Howard Schultz, and Larry Winget to name a few.

John is the proud founder of JOHN’s Chocolate Delights.

As a graduate of Stand-Up University, John has developed a comedy routine that is thought provoking, timely, and Seinfeld-like. For a fun night filled with laughs catch John at many of the New York area clubs. And when he travels around the country you just may catch him at a local comedy club.

For John’s comedy plans for the future – well life changes and who knows where this comedy journey will lead him. What he does know is, “I should have jumped on the stand-up comedy train years ago. It is AMAZING!”
